I'm in love with albums. The ones I design are so simple and clean and gorgeous I never even want to give them away to the client. These are my newest addition, small keepsake books. Only 5'' x 5'', they are big enough to have pictures that you can actually see, and small enough to display on a shelf or throw in your purse to bring to a freind's house to show off how cute you are. Your friends will envy you, your neighbors will talk about how stylish and cool you are.

I only know this from experience.

And just a little shot of a CD of proofs. Simple and sweet make me happy.

Cape Cod is one of my favorite places ever. I spent every summer of my childhood there and hadn't been back since I moved to San Diego. I was so lucky to have shot two weddings here this summer, and what a beautiful day it was! Lindsay and Matt chose to have their wedding at The Flying Brige in Falmouth, it was perfect for their seafood dinner and relaxed mood. I truly had so much fun that day, not only taking pictures but catching up with some old friends from my hometown.

Lindsay and Matt, I hope I have captured your wedding the way you remember it. It was perfect in every way.

There is no better way to get married than to start off the day with some dixie cups filled with boxed wine.

DEFINITELY my favorite image of the day. My second shooter happened to be one of my best friends who is a local photographer, and this moment reminded me of how beautiful a true friendship is as she stood there shooting with me.

Way too much fun going on on the dance floor.

Playing with glitter on the beach is A LOT of fun. :)

Meet Danika, a beautiful girl that is the true definition of what a teenage girl should be. Straight A student, upbeat personailty, dancer, photographer, loves bright colors, the beach, and GLITTER. My kind of girl! It was really easy to come up with this shoot idea for her session, I absolutely love these images.

As a wedding photographer, one of the things I enjoy is getting to know the bride and groom and help to make sure their wedding ends up being something that they really love, but lately, my newest things is to become BFFs with my brides that I've never met in person. Amazingly, my last two Cape Cod couples have selected me to take their wedding pictures completely through the power of the internets. It's a little odd meeting a bride for the first time ON her wedding day, but sending so many emails back and forth leading up to the big day, I feel like I know them already.

Jayne has been SO HILARIOUS to work with. Throughout the process, we started planning flash mob dances and pictures with marathon space blankets. Sadly, these things never happened. I still don't know why.

Jason and Jayne got ready at Old Sea Pines Inn, the cutest Bed and Breakfast I've ever seen. Also happened to be a charm school in the olden days. Awesome.

Loved the details of this beachy, Capey Coddy wedding.

When taking shots of Jayne's shoes, I no lie played out in my head an entire scenario with me stealing them and running for the hills (wearing them) before I even left to take pictures of the ceremony. Is that weird? It's just that they would have looked so cute on me.

They rented a school bus to transport guests from the hotel to the ceremony, so of course we had to take advantage of that...

Possibly the best ring shot ever?

I'm sad that I won't be emailing back and forth with Jayne on a regular basis anymore. But glad that Jayne is a happy, married, just-as-awesome-in-person kinda lady.

Also: I don't usually do this but I was SO IMPRESSED with all the vendors that were chosen for the wedding day that I had to mention them...

I love this woman. She has been a Rock of a friend since the day I met her. Listing our memories and experiences together would take hours to read, so instead, I'll just show you images of how good of a mommy she is.

This concept came together when Jackie mentioned how much she'd love to have someone photograph her every day life. I instantly knew I wanted to be the person do this, and envisioned the entire series in black and white. What I ended up with is so rewarding - and now I need to have her do the same for me... what a wonderful way to document what life is REALLY like. No smiling at the camera. No staged shoots. Just life. The little details that get forgotten because of the haze you're in when caring for a newborn.

Meet Baby Wren. A little precious angel.

And big sister Emery, who has become quite the princess ballerina.

I love both of these images. Look at the way these two little girls look at their Momma! Ahh!

About every 15 minutes, Emery does a costume change, has Mom announce her entrance, and puts on a ballet/Sea World show.

Don't forget the make up. All princesses must have blue eyebrows.

Time for a nap, and another Emery Performance.

Sigh. I loved this experience and really want to do this more often.

Jackie - I love you and your family so much. Congrats on your newest little bird, she is beautiful and I can't wait to watch her grow.

Today I got to do something a little different... and I think more of my mom friends should think about this concept: have a photographer come to your home and document a day in your life. No props, no styling, no poses - what a great way to remember the little things!

Looking forward to sharing more of these images soon, and planning on doing the same thing for myself.
